The Hanseatic League has left the harbour

HANZA STARS

A text-first space MMO in one shared universe.
Trade, mine, fight — from your phone, in minutes a day.

Merchant houses in space: convoys, contracts, sieges and betrayal, told in words and killmails rather than twitch reflexes.

What is this

EVE-style depth, reading-length sessions

One universe, everyone in it. Hanza Stars is a single-shard sandbox MMO: every pilot flies in the same cluster of systems, the market you trade on is the market everyone trades on, and the wars in the news feed are fought by real players. If your station burns at 03:00, it really burned.

Text-first, not text-only. The game plays like a beautifully typeset command deck — panels, numbers and words, backed by painted art and a live newsfeed. No 3D client to download, no aiming. Strategy carries fights; spreadsheets win wars.

Built for pockets of time. It runs in the browser and installs as an app on your phone. Set a mining run or a trade route, close the app, and the universe keeps moving — a push notification will find you when your corp needs you. Async by design: five minutes counts.

One shared universe

Corporations, alliances, sovereignty. Anchor structures, claim systems, defend them in scheduled sieges the whole corp gets paged for.

ƒ

A real economy

A player-driven market with regional prices, courier contracts, moon mining and industry chains. Every gulden someone earns, someone paid.

Combat with teeth

Ships are lost for real — killmails, escape pods, drones, wrecks and loot. Ambushes, fleet fights and structure sieges, all asynchronous.

Fits in your pocket

A progressive web app with push sirens: your phone buzzes when your structure is attacked, and joining the defense is one tap.

The look of it

Words, numbers, and gold leaf

▸ Actual gameplay, uncut

A mining run in Nieuwmarkt, interrupted by a fleet ping: a corpmate is under attack and joining the defense costs one tap and five energy.

That's the whole game in one clip — quiet industry, sudden stakes, your call whether to answer.

A fleet battle: ships breaking apart in a nebula
Sieges & ambushes

  • It is an alpha. The clock runs at playtest pace, balance shifts between updates, and progress may be wiped before the first real season starts. Whole point: break it with us.
  • Your feedback lands on the captain's desk. The in-game 🐞 button files straight to the ops inbox — most fixes ship within days, some within hours.
  • A living world from day one. The lanes are already flown by the League's chartered pilots and your fellow testers — markets move, wars happen, the Gazette reports.
